There is no such thing as a single national Subway price list, and anyone publishing one as gospel is guessing. Roughly 99% of US Subway restaurants are owned by independent franchisees, and each of them sets menu prices for their own store based on rent, wages and local competition. What we can do — and what this page does — is give you honest ranges collected across urban, suburban and rural locations in 2026, so you know whether the number on your receipt is normal or steep.

Two quick rules of thumb before the tables. First, a Footlong almost always costs less per inch than two 6-inch subs, so if two people are eating, split a Footlong. Second, the app is frequently cheaper than the counter for the same order, because digital-only offers and MVP Rewards points only apply to app and web orders.

Subway Series prices (the numbered subs)

The Subway Series sits at the premium end: more meat, more cheese and signature sauces, with no customising required. These are the prices you should expect for the twelve numbered subs.

Classic sub prices

The classics are where Subway is still genuinely cheap, particularly the vegetarian and cold-cut builds. If you are watching your spend, this is the column to shop from.

Wraps, bowls and salads

Wraps and No Bready Bowls are built with roughly Footlong quantities of filling, which is why they are priced near Footlong level rather than 6-inch level. Expect $11.49 to $16.99 for a wrap, $12.99 to $17.49 for a No Bready Bowl and $9.49 to $13.49 for a chopped salad. Gram for gram, the bowl is the most protein you can buy at Subway for under twenty dollars.

Breakfast prices

Breakfast sandwiches run $5.49 to $8.99 for a 6-inch and roughly $8.49 to $13.79 for a Footlong or wrap, with coffee at $1.79 to $2.99. Full details, including which stores serve it and when, are in our Subway breakfast menu guide.

Why your Subway is more expensive than the one across town

Five factors explain nearly every price gap readers write to us about:

  • Franchise pricing freedom. Each owner sets their own board prices. Two stores four miles apart can differ by $2 on the same Footlong.
  • Captive locations. Airports, hospitals, campuses, stadiums and turnpike plazas routinely run 15–35% above street prices, and many do not accept national coupons.
  • Local wage and rent costs. Coastal metros price meaningfully higher than the Midwest and South.
  • Delivery markups. Prices inside third-party delivery apps are usually inflated before fees are even added. Ordering pickup in the Subway app is materially cheaper.
  • Promo participation. Value platforms like Sub of the Day are optional for franchisees, so a nearby store may honour a deal yours does not.

How to pay less without ordering less

  1. Order in the Subway app and stack MVP Rewards points against a future free Footlong.
  2. Use the Sub of the Day or Meal of the Day — the single biggest lever on this list.
  3. Buy a Footlong and take half home rather than buying a 6-inch today and another tomorrow.
  4. Skip premium add-ons like double meat and avocado, which can add 30% to the ticket, and load up on free vegetables instead.
  5. For groups, price a platter against individual subs — platters usually win above five people.
Prices on this page were compiled in August 2026 from menu boards and app listings across multiple US states. Treat them as a guide, not a quote. Your restaurant's posted price always wins.
